Karen Louise Vecchio MP, formerly known as Karen Louise Martyn, was born on March 6, 1971, in Canada. She is a prominent Canadian politician who has been actively involved in public service since 2015 as a Member of Parliament representing the Conservative Party. Vecchio currently serves in the House of Commons, where she represents the federal electoral district of Elgin—Middlesex—London.[1]
Vecchio spent her formative years in Sparta, Ontario, where she was raised and shaped by her community. Prior to entering politics, she embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by establishing and managing the Coffee Grind coffee shop located in London, Ontario. Through her dedication and hard work, Vecchio successfully ran the coffee shop before ultimately deciding to sell it. Seeking new challenges, she later assumed a management position at the New Sarum Diner in Central Elgin.
In 2004, Vecchio’s passion for public service led her to join the team of Joe Preston, the then-Member of Parliament for Elgin—Middlesex—London. She started working as his Executive Assistant, gaining valuable experience and insight into the inner workings of government and the political landscape.
