Early Life and Education
Samson hails from the picturesque town of Petit-de-Grat, located in Isle Madame, Nova Scotia. As an Acadian, he embraced his cultural heritage and upbringing. His academic pursuits led him to the Université de Moncton, where he diligently pursued his education. In 1982, Samson graduated with a Bachelor of Education, followed by a Masters in Education in 1984, further enriching his knowledge and understanding of educational practices.

Before embarking on his political journey, Samson spent numerous years as a dedicated educator and administrator at Caudle Park Elementary. It was during this time that he honed his skills and developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education. Throughout his career, Samson also held esteemed positions such as national president and vice-president of all French school board superintendents outside Quebec.
