Tatiana Auguste, MP for Terrebonne

Biography

Tatiana Auguste is the Liberal Member of Parliament for Terrebonne, Quebec. Born in 2001, she is one of the youngest members of the House of Commons.

Tatiana was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 2008, settling in Montreal. She studied economics at Concordia University and went on to work as an e-commerce consultant for the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec. She also worked as an assistant to Bourassa MP Emmanuel Dubourg.

In the 2025 federal election, Tatiana won Terrebonne after a judicial recount by a single vote, the narrowest result in the country, and described the experience as “a rollercoaster.” After the Supreme Court of Canada annulled that result in February 2026, she ran again in the April 13, 2026 by-election and won by a margin of 668 votes.

Tatiana continues to represent the people of Terrebonne in Ottawa, bringing a new generation’s perspective to the House of Commons.
