About Tony Baldinelli

Tony Baldinelli is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Niagara Falls—Niagara-on-the-Lake, representing one of Canada’s best-known tourism destinations in the House of Commons.

Tony was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and has deep roots in the community he represents. Before entering federal politics, he worked at Niagara Parks for 18 years, gaining first-hand experience with the region’s tourism economy and the people and businesses that depend on it.

Tony was first elected to the House of Commons in the 2019 federal election, representing the riding of Niagara Falls. He succeeded long-serving Member of Parliament and former cabinet minister Rob Nicholson, holding the seat for the Conservatives. He was re-elected in 2021, and in 2025 he was elected in the newly configured riding of Niagara Falls—Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Drawing on his background in the tourism sector, Tony was named special adviser on Tourism Recovery by the Conservative leader in September 2020. He serves as the Conservative Shadow Minister for Tourism, advocating for an industry that is central to the economy of the Niagara region and many communities across Canada.

During the 44th Parliament, Tony tabled Private Member’s Bill C-342, which proposed amendments to the Corrections and Conditional Release Act concerning maximum security offenders. He also jointly seconded bills dealing with justification for detention in custody under the Criminal Code and with excise duties on beer, wine and spirits.

Tony continues to represent the residents of Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake and the surrounding communities in Ottawa.
