Philip Earle for Representative

Philip Earle is a Canadian politician, business leader, and community advocate who has made a significant impact in Newfoundland and Labrador’s political landscape. A dedicated member of the Liberal Party of Canada, Earle was elected as the Member of Parliament for Labrador in the 2025 Canadian federal election, becoming the first member of the 45th Parliament declared elected.

Earle grew up in L’Anse au Loup and Forteau, close-knit communities in the Labrador Straits where hard work, helping neighbors, and a connection to the land were part of everyday life. These early values laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to Labrador, its people, and its future. He has lived in Happy Valley–Goose Bay with his family for the past two decades, building a career focused on delivering essential services to communities across the Big Land.

His work in aviation has been instrumental in improving vital connections throughout Labrador and beyond. He first worked with Air Labrador and later became Vice President of Air Borealis, both Indigenous-owned airlines that strengthened transportation links between Labrador, Newfoundland, and Quebec. His leadership in the aviation sector has helped foster partnerships with Innu and Inuit communities, built on trust, respect, and shared goals.

Beyond aviation, Earle has been deeply involved in economic development and Indigenous business initiatives. He began his career supporting rural projects through Memorial University and local municipalities before leading successful ventures in telecommunications, logistics, IT, and the commercial fishing industry. His work has contributed to Labrador’s economic strength and self-reliance, ensuring that local businesses and industries continue to thrive.

Earle’s expertise has also influenced provincial decision-making. He was appointed to the Premier’s Economic Recovery Team and served as a Commissioner with the Independent Appointments Commission, helping bring Labrador’s perspective into broader conversations shaping Newfoundland and Labrador’s future. His leadership in these roles reinforced his reputation as a dedicated advocate for regional development and policy innovation.

His commitment to community service extends beyond politics and business. Earle is a Paul Harris Fellow and an active member of the Happy Valley–Goose Bay Rotary Club. He has served on the national Board of Directors for the Air Transport Association of Canada and remains a dedicated volunteer, often giving back in ways that bring joy to even the most remote areas of Labrador.

For Earle, Labrador isn’t just where he’s from—it’s who he is. Through every role he has held, one thing has remained constant: a deep belief in Labrador’s people and a drive to see the region thrive as a proud, essential part of Canada’s future. His tenure in Parliament continues to reflect his dedication to these principles, making him a prominent figure in Canadian politics.
