About Rob Moore
Rob Moore is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, a riding in southern New Brunswick. A lawyer by profession and a former member of cabinet, he brings nearly two decades of parliamentary experience to his work on behalf of his constituents.
Rob was born in Gander, Newfoundland, the son of a Pentecostal minister. His father’s pastoral work took the family to New York State and later to Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, before they returned to Canada in 1989. Rob completed high school at Kennebecasis Valley High School in 1992 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick. He was admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 2000.
Rob first sought federal office in 2000 as the Canadian Alliance candidate in Fundy—Royal. Following the creation of the Conservative Party of Canada, he was elected to the House of Commons in 2004 and re-elected in 2006 and 2008. In 2006 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, representing the Minister in the House and at the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
In January 2010, Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed Rob to cabinet as Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism. He returned to cabinet in July 2013 as Minister of State for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Regional Minister for New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador, serving until 2015. While out of the House, he was named the Conservative critic for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency in 2016.
Rob was returned as the Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal in 2019 and has been re-elected in 2021 and 2025. He continues to represent the communities of Fundy Royal in Ottawa, drawing on his background in law and his experience in government.
Rob lives in Quispamsis with his wife, Melinda, and their four children: Madeline, Katelyn, Luke and Robert.
