Joyce Murray is a Canadian politician, businesswoman, and environmental advocate. Born on July 11, 1954, she is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada and has been representing the Vancouver Quadra riding in the House of Commons since 2008. Murray has been re-elected in the 41st, 42nd, 43rd, and 44th federal elections. She has held various ministerial positions, including President of the Treasury Board, Minister of Digital Government, and Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and the Canadian Coast Guard.
Before entering federal politics, Murray served as a cabinet minister in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. She held the positions of Minister of Water, Land, and Air Protection from 2001 to 2004 and Minister of Management Services until 2005.
