Dane Lloyd for Representative

Dane Lloyd is the Canadian Member of Parliament for Sturgeon-River Parkland, one of the nation’s leading advocates for freedom and access to the vast opportunities Canada presents. Dane was elected as the MP for Sturgeon River-Parkland in a by-election, succeeding the former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Rona Ambrose. Dane was re-elected in 2019 and 2021.

Dane grew up in and around the riding of Sturgeon River Parkland. His family has farmed outside of Spruce Grove for generations, and he is a proud life-long Albertan. Dane, his wife Raechel and their two children Brooke and Alexander split their time between their home in Stony Plain and Ottawa. Dane graduated from Edmonton Christian High School in 2009 and pursued a degree in history and political studies at Trinity Western University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. Before serving as a member of Parliament, he worked as a Parliamentary Advisor to St. Albert-Edmonton MP Michael Cooper, the Honourable Ed Fast who served as the Minister of International Trade. Dane is currently the Shadow Minister for Emergency Preparedness, responsible for holding the government accountable for its management of disasters and emergencies. Dane was a key figure in advocating for the rights and freedoms of Canadians when the government decided to enforce the Emergencies Act, a decision that was later found to be unconstitutional. On top of his role in the Shadow Cabinet, Dane is a sitting member of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security. Dane was instrumental in upholding the rights of legal firearm owners while fighting the government’s infamous gun ban law, Bill C-21, in committee. In addition to his political resume, Dane holds a commission as a Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve.
